The expense of planning a wedding can add up very quickly. Here are a few helpful tips to help with cutting costs and staying on budget for during your wedding planning.
Tip #1 Determine a detailed budget. Whether the overall number is large or small, a detailed budget will allow you to allocate money to specific categories. This prevents over spending in one area and ensuring all areas are accounted for.
Tip #2 Pick your date wisely…. Holidays and Saturdays are the more expensive dates, Fridays can also be more expensive as well. Avoid choosing a date during wedding season which is usually from May to September.
Tip #3 Keep your guest list as small as possible. Take a look at this chart for determining who to invite to your wedding. Click the picture for the link.
Tip #4 Select cupcakes instead of a cake to prevent the cake cutting fee at many venues. If you still choose to go with a cake option, opt for cream opposed to fondant, which can be much more expensive.
Tip #5 Pick flowers in season and use lots of greenery to create fullness. Also consider centrepieces that do not include fresh flowers.
Tip #6 And last but not least . . . . . . Always look for room to negotiate prices.
